Dear Dr.
McAllister,
I am the
gentleman who had his knee injured 1/4/04 in Cabo. You visited IN OUR
HOTEL (Sheraton) and were very assisting. Just a note to tell you how
much you helped my trip and to graciously generate thanks to you.
When
we got back (today) I saw the MD (at Kaiser) and she said “you had an
excellent doctor over there” when she saw the progress of the knee and
how you diagnosed etc.
I am feeling much better And (unfortunately) back to work as a
Contractor.
Regards
and muchas gracias, Senor.

This
e-mail is for Jim McAllister. This is the dumb___ that showed up at your
doorstep last Thursday night (oops, Friday morning) needing to have his
brain re-inserted into his head along with a few stitches. I just wanted
to let you know that I made it back home, and that I appreciate the good
work you did to fix me up. The doc over here looked at your work and
said, “not bad”. I’ll assume that means “pretty good”. Getting my
stitches out tomorrow, and soon will be good as new. Looking forward to
my next visit to Cabo, although I hope I won’t need your “help” next
time. I will try to look you up next time I’m over there though – I owe
you a beer (or three).
Take
Care,
R.F.
Dear Dr.
McAllister,
Thank
you so much for your excellent care and concern. It was very thoughtful
of you to call on Thursday to check on me. I'm sorry we missed your
call. You were wonderful to both L. and me. It was a frightening
situation and you made us much more comfortable.
Warmest
regards,
C.M.
Dr.
McAllister,
Thank
you so much for taking such good care of C. It means a lot to us. S. and
C. both have told me how much you and everyone else have don for them
and I can't tell you how much we appreciate it. I have to admit I was
surprised that such good medical care is available at Cabo San Lucas. C.
was lucky to find you. Thanks again, and we would love to have you and
your wife come to visit us in Alaska sometime.

Greetings
from J. and P. in Denver Colorado!
Sorry it
has taken so long to send a follow-up; my days seem to be rather
disorganized. We made it back to Denver with no problem; Mexicana
Airlines was extremely helpful, even put us in 3 seats together so I was
able to elevate my leg the whole trip. Upon arrival at Denver, we went
straight to the hospital. After evaluation and X-rays, the surgeon
decided to go ahead with surgery at 6:30 PM.
Thank you for taking such good care of my ankle and stabilizing it until
I could get back for surgery. Dr. S. C. did the surgery. I am told he
is very good, but he has zero personality. I miss the patience and
reassurance I received while in your care.
At my 2 week follow-up, Dr C. was pleased with the X-rays. He pointed
out how the bones were snug together and showed signs of healing. I
remember how you mentioned the importance of fitting the puzzle
together. P. says Hello. We really enjoyed meeting you and having time
to chat a little. Hopefully next time it will not be in the hospital!
I hope we get back to Cabo sometime. The bad memories are slowly being
replaced by all the great memories. We met some really nice people and
have exchanged emails and pictures.
Again,
thank you so much for all your help.
J.
